Did you know January is National Soup Month? I mean, it kind of makes sense with the colder weather and people needing a warm to warm up! I find a bowl of soup so comforting on a cold night – don’t you?
Do you have a favorite soup? I love so many that it’s too hard to narrow it down to just one. I’ll be honest though, growing up, I was NOT a fan of potato soup in any form. I can’t tell you how many times I had to sit at the dinner table for hours until I finished. Ask my mom, she will attest to it and probably could add her own stories to the mix.
As I got older, I came to realize potato soup wasn’t as bad as I had imagined – and I can even tell my mom that I like it now! 😉 Looking back, I’m not even sure what I thought I didn’t like?? And, If I’m completely honest, today, one of my most favorite soups on the coldest of nights is Loaded Baked Potato Soup with my amazing Ham and Cheese Sliders. I’m so excited to be sharing them with you today!
Here’s the thing though, I don’t always have time to cook from scratch. I wish I did. For the times when I can’t cook from scratch, I want something that tastes just as good as homemade. Idahoan® Steakhouse® Soups is a quick and easy meal option that warms you up during those cold winter months and is the perfect way to celebrate National Soup Month! Idahoan® Steakhouse® Soups give you the flavorful, slow-cooked taste of restaurant-quality soup at home, in just five minutes. Each variety brings together real, red Idaho® potatoes with flavorful seasonings and rich cheeses to provide a creamy taste in every spoonful. I love that all I have to do is add water! It makes it soooooo easy!
The Idahoan® Steakhouse® Soups are available in four delicious varieties: Loaded Potato, Creamy Potato, Cheddar Broccoli and Cheddar Potato.
My favorite is Loaded Potato! I love serving it with a dollop of sour cream and sliced green onions. My kids will tell you they also really like the Cheddar Broccoli soup (pictured above) for a quick weekday lunch – and since they only have to add water, my teenagers are pros at making it! 😊 If you like to stay prepared like I do, be sure to keep Idahoan® Steakhouse® Soups on hand for those times when you need a quick, delicious meal!
