Welcome to Love Bakes Good Cakes! 🍰💕 I’m Jamie – a modern comfort-food storyteller with a knack for making every recipe feel like home: half strategy, half heart – all flavor. I’m a self-taught home cook, recipe creator, and lover of all things comfort food. From nostalgic desserts to easy weeknight dinners, I’m passionate about sharing recipes that bring people together.
I started this blog to make home cooking feel doable and joyful – not overwhelming. Life gets busy (trust me, I know), but I believe homemade food doesn’t have to be hard. With simple ingredients and a little heart, anyone can whip up something delicious.
My Food Philosophy
I believe that food is love – and that homemade meals don’t need to be complicated to be meaningful. My recipes are approachable, practical, and made with everyday ingredients you probably already have in your pantry. Whether you’re a seasoned cook or just getting started, my goal is to help you feel confident and inspired in the kitchen.
Why I Started Love Bakes Good Cakes
Cooking has always been a passion, one sparked by watching my mother and grandmother work their magic in the kitchen. Now, I get to carry on those family traditions while raising five kids (and homeschooling the youngest two) with my husband Brian in the Phoenix area. Love Bakes Good Cakes grew out of my desire to share the recipes and kitchen wisdom I’ve collected over the years – and to make dinnertime a little easier (and sweeter!) for families like yours.
This blog has become a community of comfort-food lovers, where good food is meant to be shared, enjoyed, and celebrated – together.
