It’s been warm here in Phoenix. I don’t know about you, but there are days when I just don’t feel like cooking – especially when it’s hot. Take-out or delivery is not an option for us, so we have to keep things that are easy to prepare for when those days hit that I don’t want to cook! Sandwiches are one of our go-to meals when that mood strikes – and these Ham, Swiss and Pineapple Sandwiches couldn’t be easier!

Ham, Swiss and Pineapple Sandwich

Ingredients 

  • 4 Oroweat® Sandwich Thins® 100% Whole Wheat Rolls
  • 4 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • ½ pound deli-sliced ham, 8 oz.
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 – 8 pineapple rings, drained and patted dry

Instructions 

  • Split each roll in half.
  • Spread one teaspoon of Dijon mustard on the cut-side of the bottom roll.
  • Top each with a lettuce leaf.
  • Divide the ham evenly between the rolls.
  • Top each sandwich with a slice of cheese and one or two pineapple rings. Replace the top portion of the roll.
  • Serve!

Notes

  • Swap in your favorite cheese if you aren’t a fan of Swiss.

    This is a very tempting looking sandwich. We don't get those sandwich thins here – they look great for a good healthy option though.
