Chocolate-dipped Peanut Butter Balls (or Buckeyes) are easy to make at home. They require only four ingredients and are a holiday favorite!

Buckeyes Recipe
One of my absolute favorite things ever is Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. I mean, doesn’t everyone love them?! To be honest, though, I love anything and everything with peanut butter and chocolate.

Many years ago, I set out to make the perfect recipe, and now, I have a recipe I’m particularly fond of. If you ask me, this recipe is a MUST on any holiday tray, and they make great neighbor gifts, too!
Don’t limit these candies to just Christmas either! For Valentine’s Day, you could use a heart mold for the peanut butter mixture, or during Easter, you can also shape the peanut butter mixture into egg shapes and have Peanut Butter Eggs!
This recipe is super quick and requires no cooking – just melting the candy coating in the microwave. Let me show you how easy this recipe is to make …

Peanut Butter Balls Recipe
- peanut butter
- butter
- powdered sugar
- CandiQuik

How to make Peanut Butter Balls
Time needed: 1 hour and 20 minutes
How to make Peanut Butter Balls
- Prepare the peanut butter filling.
In a medium bowl, combine the peanut butter and butter until thoroughly combined. Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing well. Shape into 1-inch balls. Place on waxed paper. Let stand about 30 minutes
- Dip balls in chocolate and let set.
Melt the CandiQuick according to package directions. Using a fork, dip the balls into the CandiQuick, allowing the excess to drip off. Place the covered balls back on the waxed paper. Let stand until the coating is set.

Recipe Notes
- You can partially dip the balls for a “Buckeye” effect. I find it easier to use a toothpick to hold the peanut butter ball for dipping in this instance.
- Instead of dipping the balls, you can also drizzle the candy coating over the top.
- Switch things up by using vanilla and/or chocolate candy coating.
