❓ FAQs

What are Muddy Buddies?

Muddy Buddies are a sweet snack mix made with Chex cereal coated in melted chocolate and tossed in powdered sugar. Some people call it puppy chow mix, depending on the region.

Can I make this Irish Cream Muddy Buddies recipe ahead of time?

Yes. You can prepare it a day or two in advance. Just wait to add the marshmallows until right before serving.

Why is my powdered sugar clumpy?

This usually happens if the chocolate coating is too wet. Add powdered sugar a little at a time, stirring gently until evenly coated.

Is this the same as traditional puppy chow?

It is very similar, but this version adds Irish cream flavor and festive marshmallows for a seasonal twist.
