What is Creamy Lemonade

If you are familiar with Brazilian Lemonade, then this drink will seem familiar to you. One big difference is Brazilian Lemonade uses limes (yep, limes in lemonade) in place of the lemons. However, they both use sweetened condensed milk.

This drink combines water, sweetened condensed milk, freshly-squeezed lemon juice, and ice for a refreshingly delicious beverage. The sweetness and tartness balance each other perfectly for a drink you’ll want to sip all year long!

One of the best things about this recipe is it’s perfect for all ages! Everyone will enjoy this drink! I hope you’ll try this recipe the next time you are looking for a sweet-tart beverage. 😊

Creamy Lemonade Variations

Although this drink is excellent as it is, sometimes, it’s nice to change things up. So here are a few suggestions.

  • Make this an adults-only beverage with a splash or two of vodka or rum.
  • Make a fizzy version by using your favorite lemon-lime soda in place of the water.
  • Add a pretty effect with a drizzle of Grendaine.
  • Add flavored syrups! My family really liked adding peach-flavored syrup for a super summery treat!
  • Thaw frozen strawberries in syrup and add some to your drink for a freckled lemonade drink.
  • Muddle a few mint leaves for a real treat!

Recipe Tips

  • This recipe is fairly creamy due to using a full can of sweetened condensed milk. If you would prefer it to be less creamy you can use 1/4 cup of sweetened condensed milk and either a 1/2 cup of granulated sugar or 1/3 cup of simple syrup.
  • This tastes very similar to Chick-fil-A’s Frozen Lemonade. You could make this frozen by adding it to a blender with ice.
  • While freshly-squeezed lemon juice is preferred for the best taste, you can use bottled lemon juice in a pinch.
