When it comes to easy dessert recipes, this just might be the easiest one I’ve ever shared! This Candy Cane Dip is perfect for holiday office parties, get-togethers with friends, or on your holiday menu. It comes together quickly and easily, and your friends and family will happily devour it all!

This recipe starts off with a brick of softened cream cheese combined with powdered sugar, peppermint extract, vanilla extract, whipped topping (Cool Whip), and crushed candy canes.

How to make Dessert Dip

Ingredients

  • cream cheese – any unflavored kind (full-fat or reduced fat)
  • powdered sugar
  • peppermint extract
  • vanilla extract
  • whipped topping – such as Cool Whip
  • crushed candy canes
  • Assorted cookies for dipping

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, peppermint extract, and vanilla extract until well combined. 
  2. Fold in the whipped topping and half of the crushed candy canes. 
  3. If desired, transfer to a serving bowl. Chill until serving time, at least 2 hours.
  4. When ready to serve, top with the remaining crushed candy canes.

You can also use an assortment of fresh fruit as dippers too!

Store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Properly stored, it is good for up to one week.

Yes, you can. However, note that the quality and texture may not be as good as when first made.
TO FREEZE: Place dip in an airtight freezer-safe container for up to 3 months. To use, thaw in the refrigerator overnight.
