❓ FAQs

➡️ How do I store this Rainbow Candy Bark recipe?

Store it in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week or in the fridge for 2-3 weeks. Avoid humid areas to prevent melting.

➡️ Can I freeze Rainbow Candy Bark?

Yes! Freeze it in an airtight container or zip-top bag for up to 3 months. Let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes before eating.

➡️ Do I have to use candy melts?

No! You can use white chocolate + food coloring instead. Just make sure to use oil-based or gel food coloring to prevent seizing.

➡️ How can I prevent the colors from mixing too much?

Use gentle swirling motions with a toothpick. Overmixing can blend the colors instead of creating swirls.

➡️ Can I make this with dark or milk chocolate?

Yes! The rainbow colors won’t pop as much on dark chocolate, but you can still create a beautiful effect with contrasting colors.

➡️ What can I use instead of sprinkles?

Try crushed candies, edible glitter, or freeze-dried fruit for extra texture and flavor!

➡️Can I add mix-ins?

Absolutely! Mini marshmallows, nuts, pretzels, or crushed cookies add extra crunch and fun.

➡️ How long does it take to set?

It takes about 1-2 hours at room temperature or 15-30 minutes to harden completely in the fridge/freezer.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. good quality white chocolate
  • ¼ cup red candy melts
  • ¼ cup orange candy melts
  • ¼ cup yellow candy melts
  • ¼ cup green candy melts
  • ¼ cup blue candy melts
  • ¼ cup purple candy melts
  • toothpick or skewer
  • rainbow-colored confetti sprinkles, optional

Instructions

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  • Melt the chocolate in 20-second intervals until melted and smooth.
  • Pour the melted white chocolate out onto the prepared pan and spread it out using an offset spatula or the back of a spoon to form a large rectangle.
  • Melt each color of candy melts in separate bowls in 20-second intervals until melted and smooth. Drizzle or place dollops of the melted red candy melts over the white chocolate. Repeat with the remaining colors.
  • Use a toothpick to create swirl patterns on the surface of the chocolate.
  • If desired, evenly top with sprinkles.
  • Allow the chocolate to harden completely before cutting or breaking the bark into pieces.

Notes

  • Depending on how you place the colored candy melts over the white chocolate will determine how your bark looks. You can place them in lines across the bark, or you can place them randomly about the bark.
  • Don’t overmix the colors when using the toothpick. You want lovely swirls of colors, not to combine the colors.
  • Speed up the process by placing the baking sheet with the candy into the freezer until hardened.
