Hog Wild Sandwich

So, I have to admit that this is not a “recipe” of the typical sorts. It’s more of a method. I had leftover pulled pork and shaved ham and decided to put them all together in this awesome Hog Wild Sammich with a few slices of cooked bacon! My 15-year-old liked these sandwiches so much that he wanted any leftovers for lunch the next day … too bad for him that there were no more leftovers!! This isn’t a sandwich I would want to eat all of the time – but with football season kicking off, you can bet we’ll be making these another time or two!

  • BBQ Pulled Pork
  • BBQ sauce
  • shaved ham
  • cooked bacon
  • hamburger buns

How to make a Hog Wild Sandwich

Time needed: 10 minutes

How to make a Hog Wild Sandwich

  1. Put BBQ pork on buns.

    Divide the BBQ pulled pork between the bottom sections of the hamburger bun.

  2. Add BBQ sauce.

    Top each sandwich with 2 tablespoons of BBQ sauce.

  3. Top with ham.

    Evenly divide the ham between the sandwiches.

  4. Add bacon.

    Place 2 pieces of bacon on each sandwich.

  5. Cover with top bun.

    Cover each sandwich with the top bun.

  6. Serve.

    Serve immediately.

Ingredients 

  • 2 cups BBQ Pulled Pork, warmed
  • ½ cup BBQ sauce
  • ½ pound shaved ham, warmed
  • 8 slices cooked bacon
  • 4 hamburger buns, toasted

Instructions 

  • Divide the BBQ-pulled pork between the bottom sections of the hamburger bun.
  • Top each sandwich with 2 tablespoons of BBQ sauce.
  • Evenly divide the ham between the sandwiches.
  • Place 2 pieces of bacon on each sandwich.
  • Cover each sandwich with the top bun.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Coleslaw would be a great topping to add to your sandwich,.
