Green Bean Fries FAQs

➡️ Are fried green beans keto-friendly?

Unfortunately, this recipe is not keto-friendly because of the flour and bread crumbs.

➡️ Can you freeze Green Bean Fries?

BEFORE COOKING: After coating, place the green beans in a single layer on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet and freeze until completely frozen throughout. Transfer the beans to a freezer-safe zip-top bag or airtight container. To cook, use directly from frozen, adding additional cooking time. Use within 1 month.
AFTER COOKING: I don’t suggest it. They tend to become soggy.

➡️ How do you store Fried Green Beans?

I suggest enjoying this recipe fresh out of the oven. Personally, I don’t think leftovers are as good. However, if you need to store them, you can place them in a zip-top bag or an airtight container.

➡️ How do you reheat Fried Green Beans?

You can bake them or put them in the air fryer until heated through. You can also broil them.

➡️ Can these be made in the air fryer?

Yes! Set your temperature to 400°F. Cook the green beans in a single layer for 5 minutes. Carefully turn them over and continue to cook for another 3 minutes, or until golden.

Recipe Tips

  • I found using a fork to transfer from bowl to bowl works best. I found that using my fingers became a sticky mess with more eggs in the panko bread crumbs.
  • Experiment with different dipping sauces. Try sriracha and mayo. Or your favorite Ranch dressing. Roasted garlic mayo is great, too. My kids enjoy Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce.
  • You can use regular bread crumbs in place of the panko. However, panko bread crumbs will give a better crunch since they tend to be larger and flakier than regular bread crumbs.
  • Don’t overcrowd the baking sheet. It is best to place all of the green beans in a single layer to get the crispiest results possible.
