This Cherry Chiffon Salad makes a great addition to potlucks and summer barbecues! It’s can be served as a side dish or a dessert!
The weather has been absolutely beautiful here in Arizona. So much so, that Brian and I have been working on planning some weekend cookouts and pool parties with friends! Is anyone else getting excited for all of the fun warmer weather brings?
I don’t know about you, but growing up, I loved those “fluff salads” that so many of us remember from our childhood. I’m not sure if it was a 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s thing or what it was. I just knew I loved them. Are you familiar with fluff salads? One of the more popular ones is Watergate Salad – or Pistachio Fluff.
This Cherry Chiffon Salad is another one of our family favorites. One of the things I love about this salad (or any of the fluff salads) is that it can be served as a side dish or a dessert! Seriously, how many dishes can you do that with? Is there anything better in the heat of summer than having a cool salad or dessert? Your choice!! 😋
Since it’s made with a few pantry items and a tub of frozen whipped topping, it’s an easy dish to throw together anytime you need something quick, easy, and delicious! I always have the ingredients on hand and I can make a batch in no time at all! Although I don’t have nuts listed, sometimes I throw some in just for the heck of it. Almonds or pecans make a great addition if you want to add some! 💓
The only thing left to do is serve it in a pretty serving bowl and watch it disappear because your family, friends, and guests will love this Cherry Chiffon Salad! If you plan on serving it in a more formal setting, individual dessert glasses make a pretty presentation.
