PMS Pizza? It’s not what you think … or maybe it is?!

PMS Pizza is a delicious homemade pizza topped with plenty of pepperoni, mushrooms and sausage!! What did you think it was?! It rivals the best pizza joint in town – but it’s better!! Better why?! Because you control the quality (and lets be real – the quantity) of ingredients on this pie! Delizioso!

Remember me telling y’all that I am soooo lame when it comes to naming things?! We’ll call this post, “exhibit 674” …… of many. A part of me finds a slight sense of amusement in knowing that people will ask, “what the heck is a PMS Pizza” … what can I say, I need to get out more. Spend all day, every day with a bunch of kids and you’ll find amusement in naming pizzas too. Just sayin’.

This PMS {pepperoni – mushroom – sausage} Pizza is one of my family’s favorites! Use my Bread Machine Pizza Dough Recipe for an easy Friday night pizza night (or any night for that matter)!! 🙂 Of course, store bought pizza dough/crust or your favorite pizza dough recipe is great too! Just adjust any cooking times accordingly.

We usually like to have our pizza with a big salad or some kind of fresh fruit. Be sure to pass the Parmesan cheese and pepper flakes for the pizza! I hope your family enjoys this PMS Pizza as much as mine!

Ingredients

  • 1 recipe pizza dough, homemade or store bought
  • Olive oil
  • Pizza sauce, to taste
  • ½ pound Italian sausage, cooked, crumbled and drained
  • 3 ounces pepperoni
  • 4 ounces mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
  • 1 ½ – 2 cups Mozzarella cheese, shredded, 6-8 oz.

Instructions

  • Prepare pizza dough according to recipe or package directions.

If using my homemade dough recipe:

  • Preheat oven to 450°F. Grease a large pizza pan or two smaller pizza pans. Pat dough into pan(s). Drizzle with olive oil and bake for 10 minutes.
  • Spread Pizza sauce on pizza, using as much or as little as desired. Top pizza(s) with most of the cheese. Top with pepperoni, Italian sausage and mushrooms. Sprinkle remaining cheese over the top.
  • Bake for 10-17 minutes (less time for smaller pizzas, more time for large), or until the pizza is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Slice and serve hot!

Notes

  • I love creating fun topping combos, but feel free to adjust to you liking!
