I know I don’t always post the most diet-friendly recipes here at Love Bakes Good Cakes…and I’m totally fine with that, usually. Sometimes you just want something to eat that’s so good and so full of calories it’s almost a sin to look at! But…if you are looking to eat healthily … summer is a really good time to do it. (After all…winter and fall have all the good food holidays…and we all put on those winter pounds to hibernate, don’t we?!)
Grilled Shrimp
So today we’re talking about a grilled shrimp recipe! More specifically…grilled shrimp on skewers, with a fantastic buttery-garlic marinade. This is a recipe that’s easy and uses ingredients you can find at the supermarket or right up on your shelves. All the things I like in a recipe!! And the meal itself hits the spot and fills you right up.
As I said, too, shrimp is a healthy meat, if you really like seafood, and if that is important to you. It’s low in calories and carbs, high in protein and antioxidants, has a lot of nutrients you need…and the rest of this recipe is the marinade, which is all veggies and a bit of butter (which you can substitute if you’re not a fan). So there you have it, a healthy summer recipe here on Love Bakes Good Cakes.
But all that aside…no matter why you make this meal, you won’t be able to get enough of the marinade, you won’t be able to get enough of the shrimp, you won’t be able to get enough of this recipe, period!!
