Ingredients 

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup cocoa powder
  • teaspoons baking powder
  • teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water or hot coffee
  • Cherry Buttercream Frosting, prepared
  • 24 cherry cordial candies

Instructions 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line muffin pans with paper liners and set aside.
  • In a large bowl, stir together the granulated sugar, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
