Homemade Ranch Dressing

This recipe gets two thumbs up from the Love Bakes Good Cakes family! We love pouring it over our favorite salads, and it makes a great dip on game day or for a quick lunch with some cut-up veggies!

One of the things I love the most about this recipe is that I can say everything that is in this dressing – no sunscreen lotion or the chemicals that make them – in here! I almost always have everything on hand to make this, making it an easy choice for an addition to a weeknight meal!

The second thing I love about this recipe is that I can easily make it thinner for salad if I want to, or thicker for a dip, or mix up the spices a bit to our taste! Plus, it tastes a million times better than those prepackaged things you get at the store!

Store in a covered container in the refrigerator, your dressing should be good for about 7 days.

Add a little bit more sour cream or mayonnaise until you reach the desired consistency. On the flip side, if you prefer a thinner dressing, you can add more buttermilk.

Hi Jamie! I'm ashamed to say that, as much ranch dressing as we use in this house, I have never even tried to make a homemade version. I may have to break that trend now. You have de-mystified it. Thanks for stopping by Posed Perfection this week and leaving me a sweet comment about my Ozark Apple Cake. Yes, the movie was Sleepless in Seattle…one of my favorites. Have a great weekend.
    Blessings,

Hmmmm… will have to try adding some thyme to the recipe I made. I wanted to use buttermilk but only had regular milk on hand. Looks yummy!

Just add a teaspoon of vinegar to your regular milk to make buttermilk
