Ingredients
6slicesbacondiced
2lb.green beansends snapped off and long beans snapped in half
1small onionchopped
2cupschicken broth
2cupswater
4clovesgarlicminced
1teaspoonseasoned salt
½teaspoonpepper
Instructions
In a large pot, brown and crisp bacon. Remove bacon to paper towels leaving the bacon grease in the pot.
Add remaining ingredients to pot. Bring to a boil; reduce heat to medium-low and continue to simmer for 1-1½ hours, stirring occasionally.
Drain beans. Check for seasoning and adjust if necessary. Stir in bacon.
Notes
Got leftover ham? Dice small and use in place of bacon.
