Ingredients
1cupwater
1cupmilk
1cupold-fashioned oats
½cupcanned pumpkin
½ - 1teaspoonpumpkin pie spice
2tablespoonsbrown sugar
½teaspoonvanilla extract
Cinnamonoptional
Pecansoptional
Milkoptional
Maple syrupoptional
Instructions
In a medium saucepan, combine the water, milk, oats, pumpkin and pumpkin pie spice. Bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 5 minutes.
Remove from the heat and add the brown sugar and vanilla. Sprinkle with cinnamon and pecans, if desired.
Serve with additional milk and maple syrup, if desired.
Notes
These cooking instructions are for rolled/old-fashioned oats. Do not use them for quick oats or you will have mush!
