Notes
🥡 STORAGE
Store leftovers in an airtight container for 2-3 days.
Stir before serving because the salsa releases liquid as it sits.
♨️ REHEATING
This dish is not reheated. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
❄️ FREEZING
Freezing is not recommended because the fruit becomes mushy after thawing.
💡 TIPS FOR BEST RESULTS
Use ripe mangos for the best texture.
Let the salsa rest before serving so the flavors blend.
For extra sweetness, add fresh pineapple.
For more heat, add jalapeno seeds.
🍳 ALTERNATE COOKING METHODS
This recipe is served fresh and has no alternate cooking methods.
♻️ LEFTOVERS
Enjoy leftover salsa with tortilla chips.
Spoon it over grilled chicken or seafood.
Add it to salads or tacos for a quick boost of flavor.
📝 NOTES
If you are unsure how to pick a ripe mango, give it a gentle squeeze. It should have a slight give but not be mushy.
To speed ripening, place mangos in a paper bag and rest at room temperature.
A very firm mango needs more time before using.
Always taste the lime juice before adding more, since some limes are stronger than others.
This salsa is excellent spooned over grilled shrimp or used as mango salsa with fish for a quick dinner lift.
