Preheat the oven to 350°F. Coat an oven-roasting pan or 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
Place the ham in the pan, cut side down.
Combine the butter and honey until thoroughly mixed.
Pour the mixture over the ham, coating evenly.
Cover the baking dish with foil and place it in the preheated oven.
Bake for 2 hours or until internal temperature is 140°F.
Remove the ham from the oven, remove the foil, and turn the oven to broil.
In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar and all seasonings with 1/2 cup water.
Bring the sugar mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring frequently until the sugar is dissolved.
Carefully pour half of the glaze over the ham.
Place the ham, uncovered, under the broiler. Watch it closely and broil for 1-2 minutes or until the glaze starts to bubble.
Remove the ham from the oven and pour the remaining glaze over the ham.
Return the ham to the oven, uncovered, and continue to broil for 1-2 minutes.
Remove the ham from the oven.
Cut and serve immediately.
Notes
Leftover glazed ham can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Alternatively, you can freeze leftover ham for longer-term storage. To freeze, wrap the ham tightly in plastic wrap or aluminum foil and place it in a freezer bag or container. Frozen ham can be stored for up to 2-3 months. When ready to use, thaw the ham in the refrigerator overnight before reheating.
