Ingredients

baking cocoa powder

Instructions
In a heavy saucepan, whisk together the sugar, baking cocoa, cornstarch, and salt. Gradually add milk, whisking to combine.
Bring to a boil over medium heat; whisking occasionally. Once the mixture comes to a boil, boil and whisk continuously for 2 minutes.
Remove from the heat and stir in butter and vanilla extract.
Spoon into individual serving dishes. Chill until serving.
Notes
Fancy things up by topping your pudding with a dollop of whipped cream, chocolate shavings, sprinkles, candy pieces, and/or fresh mint.
