Cream Cheese Frosting
This easy Cream Cheese Frosting recipe is sweet with the right amount of tang. Great on carrot cake, red velvet, or pumpkin desserts.

Ingredients

cream cheese, softened
8 oz.

cup
butter
softened
3 ¾ - 4
cups
powdered sugar
plus more as needed

tablespoons
vanilla extract
Instructions
In a large bowl, cream together the cream cheese and butter until well combined.
Add the powdered sugar, adding more sugar as necessary to reach the desired consistency.
Beat in the vanilla until the frosting is fluffy.
Use finished frosting to frost cake or cupcakes.
Notes
Use gel food coloring to tint the frosting, if desired.
If the frosting isn't as thick as you would like, add a bit more powdered sugar to reach the desired consistency.
