Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F and spray a 9x13-inch baking pan with cooking spray.
Add the strawberry pie filling to the baking pan and spread it evenly into the pan.
Sprinkle the dry cake mix over the top of the pie filling in an even layer until it is completely covered.
Pour the melted butter over the top of the cake mix, making sure to cover it as much as possible.
Place the baking pan in the oven and bake for 45-50 minutes.
Remove the baking pan from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving. If desired, serve it with whipped cream, ice cream, powdered sugar, etc.
Notes
Strawberry Dump Cake is typically served with whipped cream, ice cream, powdered sugar, or caramel sauce for an extra special touch.
Some variations of the recipe include adding nuts or oatmeal to the crumble topping for added texture and flavor.
The recipe can be made gluten-free by using a gluten-free cake mix, making it a great option for those with dietary restrictions.
The dessert can also be made in a slow cooker or Instant Pot for a hands-off approach to baking.
Strawberry Dump Cake is a dessert that's best enjoyed fresh, but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
