Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and the sausage is cooked through.
Notes
Can you freeze Sausage Balls?
Yes! You can make and freeze the unbaked balls or baked balls.
To freeze the unbaked balls: Prepare the recipe through step 4. Place the baking sheet in the freezer until the balls are completely frozen, at least 4 hours. Transfer the balls to a zip-top bag or airtight container. Freeze for up to three months. To use, thaw in the fridge and bake as directed.
To freeze the baked balls: Follow the recipe, then cool the sausage balls to room temperature. Once cooled, transfer the balls to an airtight container or ziptop bag and freeze. When ready to use, thaw and reheat at 350°F for 10 minutes or until heated through. You can also microwave them until heated through.
How to Store Sausage Balls
After baking, let the balls cool completely before transferring them to a ziptop bag or airtight container for up to 3-5 days. Reheat them in the oven or microwave until heated all the way through.
