Ingredients

butter

sugar

cream cheese

vanilla extract

almond extract

baking powder

baking soda

teaspoon
salt

all-purpose flour

cup
red, white, and blue colored sprinkles
Additional red, white, and blue colored sprinkles for rolling
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.
In the bowl of a stand mixer, add the butter, sugar, and cream until it is light and fluffy.
Add cream cheese, egg, and extracts. Mix until well combined.
Add the salt, baking powder, and baking soda over the top and mix it in.
Mix in the flour gradually until combined.
Add 1/2 cup of your sprinkles to the dough.
Using a small cookie scoop or tablespoon measure, scoop up a dough ball and roll it between your hands into a 2-inch ball.
Roll the cookie dough in the sprinkles to coat. Place the cookie on the baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining dough.
Bake for 10 minutes.
Remove from oven and cool on the baking sheet for 3 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack to cool completely.
Notes
Switch up the color of the sprinkles for other holidays!
For perfectly evenly sized cookies, I highly suggest a cookie scoop or using a measuring spoon.
Don't overmix the dough.
If baking more than one sheet pan, do not place cookie dough on hot pans. Allow the pan to cool completely before placing more dough.
