Ingredients
12ouncespappardelle egg pasta
2poundslean ground beef
1cupfreshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese
2large eggs
Salt and pepperto taste
2tablespoonsbutter
2tablespoonsColavita Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1large onionthinly sliced
8ouncemushroomscleaned and sliced
1 ½cupsheavy cream
3tablespoonsModenese 4 Leaf Balsamic Vinegar
Fresh chopped parsleyfor garnish (if desired)
Instructions
Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain.
Meanwhile, in a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, cheese, eggs, salt, and pepper until well combined. Form the mixture into 6 patties.
In a large heavy skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter and brown patties on both sides. Reduce heat to medium and continue to cook until juices run clear. Remove patties to a plate and cover with aluminum foil to keep warm.
In the same skillet, add the oil and mushrooms. Cook and stir for 2-3 minutes. Add the onions and continue to cook, stirring occasionally until the mushrooms and onions are softened, about 4-5 minutes.
Add heavy cream and balsamic vinegar; cook on low for 2-3 minutes.
To serve, top pasta with a hamburger patty and spoon sauce over the top. Garnish with parsley, if desired.
