🥡 STORAGE
Store leftover French toast in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Place parchment paper between slices to prevent sticking.
♨️ REHEATING
Reheat in a toaster oven or oven at 350°F for 5-7 minutes.
Use the microwave for 20-30 seconds for a quick option.
Reheat in an air fryer at 350°F for 3-4 minutes until warm and crisp.
❄️ FREEZING
Freeze cooked slices on a baking sheet until solid, then store in a freezer bag for up to 2 months.
Reheat directly from frozen in a toaster, oven, or air fryer.
💡 TIPS FOR BEST RESULTS
Use day-old bread for better absorption and texture.
Do not soak the bread too long, or it will fall apart.
Keep cooked slices warm in a 200°F oven while finishing the batch.
🍳 ALTERNATE COOKING METHODS
Oven:
Bake at 400°F on a lined baking sheet for 10-12 minutes, flipping the French toast halfway through.
Air fryer:
Cook at 350°F for 6-8 minutes, flipping once.
Stovetop:
Use a griddle or large skillet as directed.
♻️ LEFTOVERS
Enjoy leftovers as a breakfast sandwich with bacon or ham.
Cut into strips for a fun French toast dippers idea.
📝 NOTES
You can whisk the egg mixture instead of using a blender.
Dust with powdered sugar or top with fruit compote for a festive touch.
For extra holiday flavor, serve with
spiced whipped cream
or eggnog syrup.
Leftovers make a great winter breakfast the next day when reheated in the toaster.
