Ingredients

cooked black beans
rinsed and drained

finely crushed nacho-flavored tortilla chips
such as Doritos

salsa

shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions
In a large bowl, mash the black beans until mostly smooth, leaving some texture.

Stir in the crushed tortilla chips, salsa, cheddar cheese, egg, green onions, salt, and pepper. Let sit for 10 minutes.

Divide the mixture into 4 portions and shape into patties. Place on a plate, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat.

Cook patties for 4-5 minutes until golden brown. Flip, add remaining oil, and cook another 4-5 minutes.
Serve on buns with sliced avocado, salsa, and sour cream, if desired.
