Ingredients
For the dough
1 ⅓cupswater
2teaspoonssugar
1 ¼teaspoonssalt
2tablespoonsolive oil
2tablespoonscornmeal
3 ¼cupsflour
1teaspoonbaking powder
¼teaspoongarlic powder
¼teaspoononion powder
1 ½teaspoonsyeast
For the rolls
1cupsalted butter, softened2 sticks
8 - 10clovesgarlicminced
¼cupfresh parsleychopped
3cupsMozzarella cheeseshredded
3cupsCheddar cheeseshredded
Instructions
FOR THE DOUGH:
BREAD MACHINE INSTRUCTIONS:
Add the ingredients to the bread machine, according to the manufacturer’s settings. Select the dough setting. After the machine beeps, proceed with the rest of the recipe.
FOR THE ROLLS:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray and set aside.
Roll out dough into an 18x10-inch rectangle.
In a bowl, combine butter, garlic, and parsley. Use a pastry brush to spread an even layer of the butter mixture over the dough.
Sprinkle the mozzarella and cheddar cheese over the dough.
Roll up the dough jelly-roll style. Slice into 12 equal slices.
Place the rolls in the prepared pan. Bake for 35 minutes or until the rolls are cooked through and the cheese is melted.
Serve warm.
Notes
A microplane is a great, fast way to have "minced garlic."
