Notes
🥡 STORAGE
Store leftover cheddar bacon celery sticks in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
For the best texture, store garnishes separately if possible and add them just before serving.
♨️ REHEATING
No reheating is needed. Serve them chilled straight from the refrigerator.
❄️ FREEZING
Freezing is not recommended. The filling can become watery, and the celery can lose its crisp texture once thawed.
💡 TIPS FOR BEST RESULTS
Use softened cream cheese so the filling mixes smoothly.
Pat the celery dry well after washing so the filling stays in place.
Cook the bacon until crisp for the best texture and flavor.
Chill the filled celery before serving so the filling has time to firm up.
Taste the filling before stuffing the celery and adjust the salt and pepper as needed.
🍳 ALTERNATE COOKING METHODS
No alternate cooking methods are needed for this recipe.
Bacon can be cooked in the oven, skillet, air fryer, or microwave before mixing it into the filling.
♻️ LEFTOVERS
Chop leftover stuffed celery and add it to a salad for a quick lunch.
Spread leftover filling on crackers or toasted bread.
Use extra filling as a dip for vegetables or pretzels.
📝 NOTES
Choose firm, crisp celery stalks for the best crunch.
Trim the celery into shorter pieces for a more party-friendly appetizer.
You can make the filling up to 1 day ahead and stuff the celery just before serving.
Add a pinch of paprika or cayenne pepper for a little extra flavor.
This recipe is easy to double for parties and holiday trays.
