🥡 Storage
Store leftover sliders in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
For the best texture and flavor, enjoy them as soon as possible.
♨️ Reheating
Reheat the sliders just until warmed through. Avoid overheating them since smoked salmon and cream cheese are both better when gently warmed rather than cooked further.
❄️ Freezing
I would not recommend freezing these sliders. Cream cheese can change texture after freezing and thawing, and the fresh onion, capers, dill, and smoked salmon are better suited to refrigerated storage.
💡 Tips for Best Results
Thinly slice the red onion.
Drain the capers well.
Divide the smoked salmon evenly among the 12 sliders.
If using block cream cheese, soften it before assembling.
Add fresh dill after baking for the freshest flavor.
A squeeze of fresh lemon juice after baking is delicious with the salmon.
🍳 Alternate Cooking Methods
Air fryer: These Baked Bagels & Lox Sliders can be made in the air fryer. Assemble the sliders as directed, including the seasoned butter and Parmesan topping. Preheat the air fryer to 325°F and arrange the sliders in a single layer, working in batches as needed. Air fry for 5-7 minutes, or until the bagels are lightly toasted and the filling is warmed through. Check them around the 5-minute mark since air fryers can vary. Garnish with additional fresh dill before serving.
