Notes
🥡 STORAGE
Store assembled ants on a log in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 day.
For the best texture, store the cut celery, spread, and toppings separately and assemble just before serving.
Celery can release moisture as it sits, so freshly made is best.
♨️ REHEATING
No reheating is needed for this recipe.
Serve chilled or at room temperature.
❄️ FREEZING
Freezing is not recommended. The celery will lose its crisp texture once thawed.
💡 TIPS FOR BEST RESULTS
Dry the celery well so the spread sticks better.
Use a spoon or butter knife to make spreading easier.
Cut the celery into even pieces for a neater presentation.
Let kids help place the raisins on top for a fun kitchen activity.
🍳 ALTERNATE COOKING METHODS
No alternate cooking methods are needed because this is a no-cook recipe.
♻️ LEFTOVERS
Leftover prepared pieces make a quick snack later in the day.
Chop leftovers and add them to a snack board or lunchbox.
If the celery softens, reuse the spread and toppings on fresh celery.
📝 NOTES
This recipe is easy to scale up or down depending on how many snacks you need.
You can swap the spread and toppings to make sweet or savory versions.
Great options include cream cheese with fruit, hummus with veggies, or chocolate hazelnut spread with mini marshmallows.
This is a fun snack for kids, parties, lunchboxes, or after-school bites.
