Slow Cooker Pork Roast
Jessica @ Butter with a Side of Bread
  • 1 3-4 lb pork roast (mine was bone-in pork shoulder)
  • 1 cup broth
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 TBSP honey
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
Place roast in slow cooker. Combine remaining ingredients in a 2-cup measuring cup. Whisk together and pour over roast. Cook on low 10-12 hours for that fall-apart, insanely tender type of meat. (Or on high 6-8 hours.)

Prior to serving, ladle out about 1/4 cup of the juice in the crock pot and strain into a measuring cup. Whisk in 2 tsp cornstarch. Add in enough juice to make 1 cup. Microwave on high for 30 seconds and whisk again. Drizzle sauce over meat prior to serving.

Don't forget to head over and enter for a chance to win in the Blendtec giveaway!

  1. Looks absolutely delicious, Jessica. I'm a late starter with the slow cooker and have only used it a few times but I sure do love the convenience. Thanks for a great recipe :)

  2. Thanks for this great post, i find it very interesting and very well thought out and put together. I look forward to reading your work in the future.

  3. It looks like something is missing from the recipe, though. In the pics, the outside definitely looks browned. I'm making this now for Easter Sunday and I'm going to brown it first and then at the end, broil it on all sides just a bit. Will share the results with a pic.

  4. I found this on Pinterest and made it today. It is absolutely delicious!! Thanks for sharing, it's a keeper for us.

I love reading your comments. Thanks so much for taking the time to read and respond. :)
