#HonestlyGood with Lean Cuisine
This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group and Lean Cuisine, but all opinions are my own. #pmedia #HonestlyGood #ad http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO
Most of you know I'm a homeschooling mom with five kiddos! Our life is hectic sometimes, to say the least. My youngest kiddo still takes a nap after lunch - and I find that to be one of the most productive parts of my day - the older kids are able to play outside or finish their schoolwork - and I am able to work on my blog or catch up on social media. As you can imagine, it's all too easy to be tempted to grab a not so healthy snack or to sit at the computer and mindlessly eat my lunch. I cannot tell you how many times I have done exactly that.
After my recent trip to Chicago, I have really been trying to make better choices when it comes to my eating habits. If I were perfectly honest with you, my biggest obstacle in having a healthy diet, is knowing what an actual portion size is. I know I am not alone - many people have no idea what an actual serving size of food is! It can be confusing .... especially when we are so used to seeing an unhealthy amount of food at restaurants or what not - we actually start to believe that is normal. I am literally having to re-learn the whole "portion" control thing.
I'm always kind of skeptical of frozen meals .... Truthfully, I hardly ever buy them. For some reason, I have it in my mind that they will taste like cardboard. Anyone else ever thing that or is it just me?
On a recent trip to Target, I decided to pick up some Lean Cuisine Honestly Good meals. They sounded good and the flavors didn't sound "cardboard-ish". There are six different meals to choose from that are full of 100% all-natural, wholesome ingredients with a sauce you can add yourself. The new Lean Cuisine Honestly Good meals are: Honey Citrus Chicken, Lemongrass Salmon, Pineapple Black Pepper Beef, Plum Ginger Grain-Crusted Fish, Pomegranate Chicken and Roasted Red Pepper Chicken.
I decided I wanted to try one beef, one chicken and one fish meal. I loved how bright and colorful the veggies were - and how everything was perfect proportioned!
For me, lunch is the easiest meal to swap out. The Lean Cuisine Honestly Good meals are quick, easy and convenient. I think one of the best things about these meals is how easily they fit into my lifestyle. I dont' have to measure anything, there is nothing complicated about preparing these meals and they actually taste good!
The Honey Citrus Chicken was my favorite of the 3 varieties I tried! I can't wait to pick up some of the other varieties - the Pomegranate Chicken sounds especially good!
Together with their farmers, they're also donating a portion of the vegetables grown for Lean Cuisine Honestly Good Meals to local communities.
Although this is just one step towards a healthier lifestyle, it is an easy step to take! Switching out my lunch with a Lean Cuisine Honestly Good meals helps make portion control super easy for me!
If you're interested in trying any of the six varieties of Lean Cuisine Honestly Good meals, be sure to pick some up at your local Target!
