Weekend Round-Up {6-1-13}

lbgc - weekend round-up

I've been super busy this week! We've lived in our house for almost 2 months and I'm finding the need to rearrange a few things to fit how we live in the house ... if that makes any sense? When we first moved in, I just wanted to get stuff outta boxes, so I gave things a temporary home. Even in my kitchen. Y'all know that a kitchen needs to function properly .... so I have been moving stuff around. No lie, I have had to put masking tape labels on our cabinets so I can remember where things are! I guess that's what happens when you get used to things being in a certain place!

I also have a whole bunch of new recipes lined up! Y'all are gonna love them. I have been so excited, I just want to publish them all now! But I can't - it'll be feast then famine, ya know? In case you don't know, I am super OCD about "planning things out well in advance". I will just say, my posts (except for the parties and weekend round-ups) are good to go clear into July!

I hope y'all have had a fantastic week .... we're officially into June (can you believe it?!) and most kids are officially on summer break or will be soon! I'm not sure whether moms are happy about that or not?! ;)

Here's a look at what happened around my little spot of the blogging world this week:

Five things I pinned this week that you should see too:

1. Teach your child to tie their shoes in 5 minutes from Efficient Life Skills - I have never seen shoes tied like this! Seriously, I had to watch the video like 5 times! I have yet to try this myself, (mostly because I never wear shoes), but I have 2 kiddos who will be learning to tie shoes so I have saved that page for future reference!

2. 50 Boredom Busters from Skip to my Lou - Trust me, if you have kids home over the summer, you will want to check out this list!

3. Pistachio Triple Layer Bars from Lady Behind the Curtain - My sister-in-law, Caroline, would love these and I pinned them especially for when we have dinner together again! Sheryl describes them as being almost like pistachio cheesecake! Yummy!

4. Patriotic Mesh Wreath from Snack Cups and Smiles - I have yet to make a wreath of my own ..... and I have a ton of them pinned! I love the look of the mesh and I love all things red, white and blue! :) This just may be the first wreath I make! By the way, it's easy enough for un-crafty folks, like myself! ;)

5. Smoky Southwest Sloppy Joe's with Bacon from What's Cooking in the Burbs - One of Brian's favorite meals is Sloppy Joe's .... and I love this kicked up version!

Most pinned post this week: Macaroni Salad
Most popular post this week: White Castle Casserole
Biggest referring site this week: Pinterest

Most searched phrase: Homemade Alfredo Sauce

I hope you enjoy! Shared at these fun parties!
