Weekend Round-Up {12-8-12}

I have a confession to make ... I haven't even started our Christmas shopping yet. We did get a tree last weekend - and we even decorated it. I just have not felt in the "Christmas-y" mood and my mind is on a million other things (like getting our house sold). I plan to knock some things off the shopping list today and pray that my procrastination hasn't made the task more difficult. I hate shopping - and the thought of being out in a mad-house, just makes me not even want to go out at all. Please, pray for me and my sanity. ;)

Sunday, I shared this EASY Mac and Cheese. What makes it easy, is you don't even have to boil the noodles first - mix a few ingredients and pour it all into a pie plate, bake and serve. Super simple and tasty! It's great for those times when you don't really want to make dinner, but know you have to. (Tell the truth, we've all been there!) Serve it with some peas (or other veggie) and a fruit, and you're good to go!

Monday I shared our Menu Plan. We loved the Loaded Baked Potato Soup. It'll be making an appearance on the blog in the near future - so, so good! I'm really looking forward to the Hand Pies tomorrow - it'll be a combination of two recipes from one of my favorite bloggers - I have been wanting to make these for a few weeks now and tomorrow will be the day!

Tuesday's All my Bloggy Friends linky party is still live - it closes at 11:59 pm EST tonight, Stop by and check out the links and feel free to share some of your own! There are a lot of great ideas over there!

Wednesday I shared my Panera Bread review

I also chose the Crayola giveaway winner.

Thursday, I had a guest post over at Nap-Time Creations. Stop on by Emily's place for the Red Velvet Pancakes with Cream Cheese Frosting Recipe. This would make a great Christmas breakfast!

Yesterday, I shared these Soft Sugar Cookies. They are perfect for Christmas cookie trays and easy enough for the kids to help make! They are very similar to those cookies you buy at the store in the clear containers - so save yourself some money and make them at home!

I also had to redo some of my buttons - I messed up something on Photobucket while moving things around - and now some of them are not working. :/ I apologize for any inconvenience. I have new buttons if you'd like to grab a new one.

  1. Just saved the Mac and Cheese recipe...thanks Jamie, I will give that one a try.

    I’ve been there with selling your home and pushing the holidays aside and I’m sure in the end you will all have a wonderful and memorable Christmas. My best to you and yours!

  2. I won't be done shopping for another two weeks...it has just been a really busy Christmas season this year, more so than ever before! Are you moving within your current city, or moving to a totally different place?

    1. Hopefully, very far away from here and closer to family :)

I love reading your comments. Thanks so much for taking the time to read and respond. :)
