I hope everyone has a safe and happy Labor Day. We don't really do anything big to celebrate ... it's just another day for us - my husband even has to work today! (Can you believe that?!? Get out the riot gear!) Seriously, enjoy these last few moments of summer - it won't be long before we're praying for warmer days! At least I'll be praying for warmer days .... I'm such a cold wimp! I don't like it at all!
On another note, do you ever have days where you just want to go take a long soak in the tub ... in peace and quiet ... with the bathroom door locked and barricaded?! That was totally me on Friday. It was our first week back to school, the baby wasn't feeling well all week and the 3 yr. old was just a normal 3 yr. old. I just did not have enough of myself to go around. I really didn't have the energy. Frazzled. Yes! Stressed. Yes! Exhausted. Yes, I was all of those! We made it through ... and here's praying for a better week this week!
We have a few days of last week's menu carrying over to this week due to the messed up days and some quick dinners. Here's what we'll be having at our house this week ....
Breakfast Monday - Friday: Cereal, Grits, Oatmeal or Smoothies with Fruit of Choice
Lunch All Week: Leftovers, Soup, Sandwiches, Boxed Mac and Cheese, Personal-sized Tortilla Pizzas or Baked Potatoes
Monday - Pasta Shells with Peperonata, Applesauce, Garlic Bread
Tuesday - Grilled Burgers, Baked Sweet Potato Fries, Fruit
Wednesday - Turkey Taco Soup from This Gal Cooks, Cornbread Muffins
Thursday - Supreme Bubble Biscuit Bake, Salad, Fruit
Friday - Make Your Own Pizza
Saturday - (B) Breakfast Out
(D) Italian Crockpot Chicken with Rice, Broccoli, Rolls
Sunday - (B) Breakfast Burritos, Fruit
(D) One Pot Goulash, Salad, Garlic Bread, Brownie Trifle
