Hey y'all! I am excited for this week's menu. I'm trying a reader of LBGC's recipe and a recipe from one of my favorite blogs! I haven't been able to stop thinking about either recipe! Seriously - have you ever had a recipe you just could not stop thinking about until you tried it?!
You may remember from my Butter Bean Burger post, that I'm not fond of lima beans or anything that even resembles one. I'm ok with beans, just not lima beans! I put on my big girl panties and tried the burgers - and was pleasantly surprised! It wasn't too bad. Debra commented telling me about her love of butter beans - and even mentioned a little bit of how she makes them. The recipe comes from her mother-in-law. It was enough to spark my curiosity and I recently asked her for a little more detail. I hope I do her recipe justice - because we're having it tonight! I can't wait to try it out. :)
The other recipe comes from Linda over at With a Blast. Have you seen her Best Ever Chicken Pie? It looks and sounds so good - and it has some of my favorite ingredients! :)
Here's what we'll be cooking up in our kitchen this week:
Breakfast Monday - Friday: Cereal, Grits, Oatmeal or Smoothies with Fruit of Choice
Lunch All Week: Leftovers, Soup, Sandwiches, Boxed Mac and Cheese, Personal-sized Tortilla Pizzas or Baked Potatoes

Thanks for the shout-out, Jamie - I feel very honored that you're going to try out one of my recipes! Have a great day,
ReplyDeleteLinda
Your menu looks really good. For some strange reason I am not inspired by anything this week! Guess I better get serious or there will be no dinner on the table!
ReplyDeleteYour menu looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to let you know, I browsed your recipe and got inspired by your Teriyaki Chicken, it will be on my menu on Tuesday! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI'm stopping by for a visit from Organizing Junkie today.
ReplyDeleteReading about the bean burger reminds me of the day I had a Boco burger. It was surprisingly good.
It's another 107 degree day in Las Vegas. Man! Am I looking forward to cooler temps. Unfortunately, we don't usually start cooling down till late September or October.
Your menu for the week sounds delicious!
